The Half Marathon course will be supported for 4 hours and have a 4.5 hour timing cut off.  At the four hour limit, volunteers at all remaining aid stations will pack up and return to the start/finish area. At the 4.5 hour time limit the timing system will shut down.

Parking & Busing

5K parking is available at the Botanical Gardens.

Half Marathon shuttle pick up will be on Foch Street right next to Billingsley Field House starting at 5:00 AM. The last shuttle will leave Farrington Field at 6:45 AM. Please show up early so we can get you to the start line on time!

Start & Finish Areas

Start Areas

1/2 Marathon starts at 7:30 AM in the Gateway Ball Park parking lot north of the baseball fields. Come early and get pumped with our DJ music while you feel that race energy build before you take off.

5K starts at 9:00 AM at Trinity Park. See map for details.

Finish Areas

Finish strong through our spooky arch, get your beastly bling, and feed on all the Halloween treats. There will be food trucks and beverages to satisfy your ghoulish indulgences.

Aid Stations

There will be six aid stations on the course. All aid stations will have water and an electrolyte beverage. Aid stations 2 and 5 will have additional nutritional supplements.

There will be three port-a-potties on the course and will be located around mile 5, mile 8, and mile 11.5.

Safety & Medical

This is a fairly flat course along the West Fork Trinity River.

We will have EMS looping the course. In the event of an injury:
If you can make it to Aid Station 3, they will have a walkies to communicate with the finish line and can dispatch EMS.

If you can't make it to Aid Station 3, then:
     Pull off to the side
Notify the next couple of runners
     Wait for the EMS vehicle

If you are a runner notified of an injury, please note approximate location of injured runner and alert the volunteers at aid station 3 and finish line.

While running, yield to the right for faster runners. This is much safer than them trying to jut around you.

Slower runners please stay right.

Be courteous to others and only run side by side if there is still room to pass on the left.

The main First Aid station will be at the finish line. They will help you out with any injuries you sustain on the course. We know it is Halloween, but we don't want to see any actual blood here. (We are hoping they stay very bored).

There will also be first aid available at Aid Station 3 with bandaids, sunscreen, petroleum jelly, and ice (if it is a very hot day). If you need to take a break and doctor up some chaffing or take care of that sun burn, this is the place to do it.

Historically the weather has been great on October 20th, so we are in for a good day. October is also one of Fort Worth most rainy, so be prepared with a poncho or garbage bag just in case. Lows should be in the mid 50s, and highs should be in the mid 70s. You can check out the current weather here.

Top Team

We are looking for the next team to become our official "Top Team" for The Halloween Half Fort Worth! The Top Team will be the team with the most participants! Our Top Team gets a slew of additional benefits at the event and leading up to race day. Think your team has what it takes?

Top Team Benefits
Recognition on social media
Announcements at the race
Your own Top Team Tent to cool off under and hang out in after the race
Bottles of water provided to your tent
Granola bars or other small snacks to recover after the run

Only one Top Team will be chosen, and it will be the team with the most registered members.
You must have at least 15 people on your team to qualify.
All team members must select the team name at registration. We will not be able to change the team name once you are registered.

We will announce the Top Team winner on our Facebook event page the Wednesday of race week. Make sure you are following the event to stay up to date!

Results & Awards

11 & under
60 & over

Results will be determined using your chip (attached to your bib) time, which starts when you cross the rubber mat at the start line and stops when you cross the rubber mat at the finish line. We will post a link here a couple days after the race that will take you directly to the our race timing results.

Prior to start we will line you up in pace groups, so please be honest when you get ready to start and let the faster runners out first. This will help prevent any bottlenecking or congestion on the more narrow areas of the course. Thank you in advance.

All finishers will receive a unique finishers medal. There will be separate medals for the half marathon and 5K.

Half Marathon Awards:
3 deep in all age groups for male and female finishers
3 deep for overall male and female finishers.
Runners who place overall are not eligible for age group awards.

5K Awards:
1 deep in all age groups for male and female finishers
3 deep for overall male and female finishers.
Runners who place overall are not eligible for age group awards.
